Sundus Rotana, Muscat, Oman

Workshop Day: Wednesday, 24 October 2018

OVERVIEW:

Currently being validated by 13 ports globally, Port CDM (Collaborative Decision Making) will make port calls more efficient through the use of interoperable timestamped information sharing in real time. Port CDM has the potential to revolutionise maritime trade and logistics by connecting and enhancing the coordination of all port actors in the logistics value chain.

BENEFITS OF PORT CDM:

  • Increased berth productivity
  • Facilitation of ‘just-in-time’ arrivals
  • Better enabling of port-hinterland connectivity

However, given the seniority of our speakers and the nature of their roles, speakers may subsequently substitute or remove themselves from the programme. This is always regrettable, and we will always try to replace the speaker with a speaker with equivalent insight.
