Cancellation Policy

SCiWeek Terms and Conditions

Fee Paying Delegate Pass 

  • Fee paying delegate passes require payment at time of registration. Your registration will not be confirmed until payment is received. Due to limited conference space we advise early registration and payment by credit card to avoid disappointment. Admission to the conference will be refused if payment has not been received
  • Alternatively, it is possible to substitute a colleague of the same seniority and in the same industry sector. On the condition that the replacement is accepted by SCiWeek a cancellation fee will not apply if written notice is received by 19 March 2018
  • In the event that SCiWeek postpones or cancels the Summit for any reason and the delegate is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, you will receive credit for 100% of the contract fee paid. You may use this credit for another IQPC event to be mutually agreed with IQPC, which must occur within one year from the date of postponement
  • Except as specified above, no refund will be issued for cancellations. There are no refunds given under any cicumstances
  • SCiWeek is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of the Summit. SCiWeek shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event the conference is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency
  • Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, SCiWeek reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible

Complimentary Delegate Passes

  • Whilst not encouraged, delegates who qualify for complimentary passes may cancel their attendance with no penalty on or before 19 March 2018.  Cancellations received after this time will incur the full delegate fee of £300. All cancellations must be received in writing and must be acknowledge by 19 March 2018
  • Alternatively, it is possible to substitute a colleague of the same seniority and in the same industry sector. On the condition that the replacement is accepted by SCiWeek a cancellation fee will not apply if written notice is received by 19 March 2018
  • Delegates who do not inform SCiWeek of their cancellation and who do not attend the summit will incur a no show fee of £300
  • All complimentary delegates are expected to attend a minimum of two vendor meetings as per complimentary offer/terms. If delegates fail to attend the two agreed meetings they will incur a fee of £150 per meeting not attended  
  • Cancellation of attendance fees, no show fees or no meeting fees shall be payable by the Delegate within one month of the closing date of the Summit.  Payment will be taken from the Delegate’s credit card (details of which must be provided by the Delegate on registration) one month after the closing date of the Summit if the payment has not been made by other means. SCiWeek will provide the Delegate with a receipt in respect of such credit card charges for cancellation and no show fees
  • Any Delegate who cancels due to medical reasons must provide a medical certificate within one week of notification or the Delegate will be charged cancellation fees as above. All medical certificates must be in English, not hand written and with an official stamp and signature
