With more than 30 years of experience in architecture, healthcare planning, laboratory design, design management, contract administration, and project leadership, Cheng Teng has built a career around complex environments where technical precision and real-world usability must come together.
Her work spans healthcare, biomedical, pharmaceutical, research, and institutional projects across Singapore and the region, including developments for NUH, SGH, TTSH, KKH, HSA, A*STAR, and other specialist facilities. Her early career with PWD Consultants and Jurong Consultants exposed her to large-scale public, life sciences, and biomedical developments, including Biopolis @ one-north, before she went on to establish Arch'lab as a specialist practice. Guided by the belief that healthcare and laboratory spaces must serve people as much as they serve technical requirements, Cheng Teng brings an empathetic and practical lens to design — considering the needs of patients, caregivers, healthcare workers, researchers, and operational teams. Through Arch'lab, she continues to shape environments that are purposeful, resilient, and grounded in real-world use.
Cheng Teng is also a registered architect with the Board of Architects Singapore, a Corporate Member of the Singapore Institute of Architects and BCA Green Mark Accredited Professional.
