Head of Corporate Planning Kenya Airports Authority
Mr. Henry Ogoye, Head of Corporate Planning and Strategy at Kenya Airports Authority with responsibility for co-ordination of strategic planning, corporate research, traffic information management, performance management and integrity issues and is a member of key decision making organs in the organization.
Prior to joining KAA in 2006, Mr. Henry Ogoye worked Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited for 9 years where he rose through the ranks to the post of planning manager responsible for power system planning. Mr. Henry Ogoye had earlier worked briefly at the Kenya Power and Lighting Company for about 6 months before moving to KenGen following the re-organization of the power sector where generation was separated from transmission and distribution.
At KenGen, Mr. Henry Ogoye was part of the team that set up the company structures in 1998 following its separation from Kenya Power and also delivered a successful Initial Public Offer of the company in 2005. Before joining KenGen Mr. Ogoye was a lecturer in Economics Department at Egerton University.
Mr. Henry Ogoye holds a post graduate Diploma in Financial Management from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands, Masters in Business Administration (MBA- Finance) and Masters of Arts in Economics both from the University of Nairobi. For the undergraduate, Mr. Ogoye is an alumnus of Egerton University where he pursued Mathematics and Economics and graduated in 1992.
Mr. Henry Ogoye has expertise in Strategic Planning, Traffic Forecasting and performance management and is a seasoned speaker on aviation matters and regular participant on public policy matters as well as representing the Authority in external affairs.
