Executive Officer Community Energy Network
Gareth has been the Executive Officer for the Community Energy Network for the last 10 years. Prior to that, have had 5 year stints working on sustainability programmes in a city council, large corporate and a university. Across all of those jobs, the grassroots community sector has shown the most resilience probably provides the most fertile ground for innovation for the transitions we’re experiencing now. The Community Energy Network is a federation of nearly 30 community agencies that are focussed on eliminating energy hardship and increasing local energy resilience. We are already working closely with many in the room and the door is wide open to anyone who wants to develop programmes that meaningfully engage the communities they serve.
