Astad Kapadia leads DSO Strategy at Counties Energy, focusing on Distribution System Operations (DSO) within New Zealand's electricity sector. With 12+ years in the energy industry, he spearheads DSO strategy development and flexibility enablement initiatives. As a member of the ENA FNF Capability Roles & Functions Group, he contributes to defining DSO roles and developing industry architecture to support DSO implementation. Astad holds both Masters in Engineering (ME) and Business Administration (MBA) degrees, completing his final MBA project on DSO enablement strategy for Counties Energy.
