Presentation: Wave-induced resonance - Implications for low-frequency monopile support structures | SIEMENS Gamesa

Michiel van der Meulen, Computational engineer wave-structure interaction at SIEMENS Gamesa talked about Wave-induced resonance at the Offshore Wind 2023; Foundations & Substations conference.

Talking points were: the need for a new ULS load case for resonance, the increase of fatigue load uncertainty that goes along with bigger turbine sizes and how the FLS sea state lumping requires more care against hindcast.
