Ali Mehmanparast

Ali Mehmanparast is Professor of Structural Integrity at the University of Strathclyde. He has held leadership roles in two major Centres for Doctoral Training, contributing to the training of over 120 PhD and EngD specialists in offshore renewable energy. He received his MEng (2008) and PhD (2012) from Imperial College London and an MBA from Cranfield University, and previously held academic posts at Imperial College and Cranfield University before joining Strathclyde in 2022. He is a Chartered Engineer of IMechE, Chartered Manager of CMI, and serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. With over 130 publications and experience chairing international conferences, he is recognised as a leading figure in engineering structural integrity and offshore renewable energy research.
