Henrik Albertsen

Head of Application Engineering IMO GmbH & Co. KG

Dr Albertsen received his Master of Science degree in 1988 and his PhD in 1992 in materials science from the Technical University of Denmark. After a few years in mechanical engineering, he joined LM Glasfiber A/S (now LM Windpower), where he headed the structural mechanics department. Over a period of 5 years, he was involved in the design, testing and production of blades for large wind turbines. In 2000, he took over the Engineering Services at Bombardier in Nürnberg, where he headed a department responsible for the design and testing of trams and light rail vehicles. After several years in the development, testing and production of fibre-reinforced, crash-proof structural components for passenger cars, he moved to IMO GmbH, where he has headed the engineering department since 2008. He is currently responsible for the engineering of slewing rings for all product lines, including the wind business. Gremsdorf, July 2022
