Dr Tan Li Feng is a senior consultant geriatrician with Alexandra Hospital (AH). She is also the Geriatrics Lead at the NUHS Regional Health System Office, and Planning Lead for Geriatrics at the upcoming Tengah General and Community Hospital.
Dr Tan’s research interests include cognition, frailty, and sarcopenia, with a focus on developing innovative interventions to enhance brain health and functional independence in older adults. She has been awarded multiple grants including the NUS Academic Health Programme award, Gloria Lee-Woo Award and the NMRC Healthy and Meaningful Longevity grant to develop AI-powered tools to enhance brain health. Her work aims to address age-related conditions and improve health outcomes through evidence-based strategies and multidisciplinary collaborations. Dr Tan is passionate about enhancing the health of older adults to promote not just years in life, but life in years.
In recognition of her expertise and leadership, Dr Tan is a member of the Global Leadership Initiative in Sarcopenia (GLIS) alongside leading experts from Singapore. She is also a founding member of the Global Brain Care Coalition, which seeks to advance brain care globally by fostering collaboration and innovation in brain health research and care delivery. She is also a board member of the Chapter of Geriatricians, Singapore.
