Isabelle Doran

Isabelle Doran is CEO of the Association of Photographers, representing 3,000 members. She is also Vice-Chair of the Creators’ Rights Alliance, Board Director of the British Copyright Council and an RSA Fellow. The AOP is a contributing member of Creative UK and the British Photographic Council. Isabelle's creative industry career, spanning almost 30 years, began at Tony Stone Picture Library (now Getty Images), before working at Magnum Photos, Luminous Design, and Conran. Isabelle ran a lifestyle photo library for 14 years, during that time she was the chair of BAPLA for over 5 years. Across her professional career, Isabelle's experience includes a broad working knowledge of technical, legal and licensing mechanisms, as well as policy matters. Representing photographers’ interests as freelance creators, Isabelle’s policy work has largely focused on copyright and AI more recently, particularly generative-AI and its impact on the creative industries and the professional creator community. She has a BA Hons in Photography & MA in Museum Management.
