Ben Stansfield is one of the UK's leading environmental lawyers and joined the international law firm Gowling WLG in 2019.

Ben advises organisation across a broad spectrum of industries on climate and sustainability issues, with a particular focus on how they adapt to the climate crisis, meet their decarbonisation targets, and improve the natural environments in which they operate.

He helps his clients incorporate sustainability into their operations, including in relation to 'greening' their property estate, incorporating sustainability measures into their supply chain, and meeting their climate disclosure and reporting obligations.

Ben co-chairs Gowling WLG's internal Environment Committee (Planet +) and has been a Trustee of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) for over ten years. Ben was featured on the inaugural ENDS Power List, identifying the UK's top 100 environmental professionals who have made the greatest impact in the last two years.
