Louis Bailleul is an engineer and architect who, after earning his Master's in Computer Science from ECE Paris and relocating to London, began his career optimising the performance and cost-efficiency of complex High Performance Computing (HPC) systems. Over the last five years, he has shifted his focus to broader IT and cloud modernisation. As a leader of architects and platform engineers, he is spearheading platform engineering initiatives. By implementing modern practices such as Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and GitOps, and by leveraging cloud-native technologies, including components like Kubernetes he drives significant technical and organisational changes, all aimed at improving the developer experience as a way to enable the business to deliver more value, faster.
Developer adoption isn’t automatic-no matter how powerful your platform is. The most successful platform engineering teams treat developers as customers, designing clear, intuitive “paved roads” that streamline common workflows while supporting broader innovation. This session focuses on how to define, build, and continuously evolve those pathways to drive real adoption and trust.
