Group Head of Energy Transition & Regulation YTL PowerSeraya Pte Ltd

Mr. Song Jian'En is the Group Head of Energy Transition and Regulation of YTL PowerSeraya Pte Limited, one of the leading power generation companies in Singapore.

Mr. Song has more than 15 years of operations, commercial and regulatory experience in the electricity and gas market in Singapore, spanning from Power Generation and Utilities Operations to Electricity Trading to Portfolio Management and Electricity retail as well as Energy consulting in established organisations like Sembcorp Industries and Deloitte Consulting.

His career in the energy sector has also seen him lead teams and manage the companies' power businesses and most recently, taking on the lead in Energy Transition role. Under his leadership, YTL PowerSeraya Pte Limited has been shortlisted and won numerous energy transition initiatives including the EMA-MPA Joint Ammonia Power-Generation Expression of Interest and Two Grant Call awards for EMA Carbon Capture Feasibility studies.

Mr. Song is a graduate from National University of Singapore with a Honours Degree in Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
