Paolo Scaroni

Chairman Enel

Paolo Scaroni is currently Chairman of Enel, Chairman of Giuliani Pharmaceuticals and Chairman of AC Milan. He graduated in Economics from L. Bocconi University in Milan in 1969 and speaks four languages. He began his career at Chevron (1969–1971). After obtaining a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University in New York in 1972, he joined McKinsey & Co. as a consultant (1972–1973). He then joined Saint-Gobain in 1973, holding various management positions in Italy (1973–1978), Latin America (1978–1983) and Paris (1984–1985). His subsequent roles included Managing Director of Techint (1985–1996), Chief Executive Officer of Pilkington plc in London (1997–2002), Chief Executive Officer of Enel (2002–2005), Chief Executive Officer of Eni (2005–2014), Deputy Chairman of the Rothschild Group (2014–2023). An expert in energy geopolitics, he has been a professor on contract at Bocconi University, teaching on the Master in Energy Transition and Energy Geopolitics.
