Shahrukh Raza Mirza

Shahrukh brings over 20 years of experience in developing frontier, emerging, and mature markets across the natural gas and LNG value chain. His expertise spans LNG, regasification infrastructure, and Gas-to-Power projects. Over the course of his career, he has successfully developed and commissioned more than 6 GW of combined cycle power generation capacity, as well as one LPG terminal and two LNG import regasification terminals. He has also led the negotiation of multiple long-term and short-term LNG supply agreements. His project experience spans the Middle East, Western and Southern Africa, and Asia Pacific. In his previous role, Shahrukh led ExxonMobil's Global LNG Market Development & Origination Group. Based in Singapore, he held a global mandate to originate and unlock new LNG demand and infrastructure opportunities across regions ranging from the Americas to Australia. He managed a geographically dispersed team of senior developers and originators across multiple international offices.

Shahrukh was born and raised in Hong Kong, attended boarding school in the United Kingdom, and completed his undergraduate studies in the United States, earning a Bachelor of Arts from Clark University (Worcester, Massachusetts) in 2001. Throughout his career, he has worked in Nigeria, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He has also completed executive and management development programs at Harvard University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and INSEAD. Shahrukh is a British citizen. He is married and has three children, aged 16, 14, and 10.
