Sue-Ern Tan is Head of the International Energy Agency's Regional Cooperation Centre, the IEA's first-ever office outside its Paris headquarters. She leads the Centre's mission to work with Southeast Asian governments in addressing their energy challenges including strengthening energy security.
Sue-Ern brings international experience across the public and private sectors, holding senior climate and energy roles at Shell, served as a ministerial adviser on energy in the Australian Government, Deputy CEO at a minerals industry association, and practiced as a lawyer. Sue-Ern holds a degree from the University of New South Wales and is an Eisenhower Fellow.
