Senior Area Manager for Sperry Drilling for Southeast Asia Halliburton

Mohamed Samie is the Sr. Area Manager for Sperry Drilling in South East Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Prior to that, his most recent role was Area Manager for Sperry Drilling in Northern Gulf covering Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan. Mr. Samie joined Halliburton in December of 2005 as a M/LWD Field Engineer in Saudi Arabia. He filled different operations, service quality, competency, and business development roles in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Northern and Eastern Gulf. Prior to joining Halliburton, Mr. Samie worked in Software Engineering and Development for Union National Bank in the United Arab Emirates covering asset management, IPOs and core banking systems. Mr. Samie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. He has over 15 technical publications covering DD/LWD/Multi-Lateral Operations, Technology and Service Delivery Case Studies.
