Erica Weiner is the Vice President, Head of Legal and Business Affairs at CAA Brand Management, a global brand management and licensing agency, which is a division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the world’s leading full service entertainment, media and sports agency. Erica leads the global Legal & Business Affairs team which supports iconic talent and brands with their expansion into new consumer product categories, experiences and territories by partnering with the world’s leading manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and operators, through licensing, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Prior to CAA, Erica was the Assistant General Counsel, Global Intellectual Property and Retail at Ashley Furniture, the world’s largest furniture manufacturer supporting the global intellectual property function as well as the licensing of Ashley’s retail stores and related commercial retail matters. Before joining Ashley Furniture, Erica spent many years as the Assistant General Counsel, Global Intellectual Property and Brand Protection at Capri Holdings (formerly known as Michael Kors Holdings), the owner of the Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Versace brands, where she created the first intellectual property team at the company, developed a global brand protection strategy and was responsible for all licensing as well. Prior to this position, Erica also spent time in other intellectual property roles at Georgia-Pacific and Revlon. Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her friends and family and you can usually find her on the Peloton bike, row or tread most days.
