David has >15 years of experience in operating and scaling global high growth technology companies. His business industry experience spans SaaS, ecommerce, subscription models, omnichannel, and FMCG. His job is to bring together the best finance experts, engineers, data scientists, and ethicists to solve some of the most challenging problems while leading corporations through technology. The scope of his operational responsibilities at Amazon includes building and leading teams, FP&A, managing end-to-end digitalisation projects, strategic planning, working capital management, accounting, risk management, internal audit, legal, operations, tax and treasury. Previously, he served as Senior Finance Controller - Group Investments, for Zalando in Berlin, where he led the coordination of capital allocation in Europe. Before Joining Zalando, David served as Finance Manager for one of the fastest growing startups in CEE region. He has extensive private and public company experience, and did external consulting and advisory to several firms. He holds a CS50 computer science certification from Harvard, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Economics in Prague. He is a regular visiting lecturer of corporate finance in few EU Universities.
