Inn Sann leads the Group Compliance function and provides oversight of compliance risk management across the Maybank Group. In this role, she works with colleagues across businesses, functions and geographies to strengthen compliance governance, regulatory engagement, financial crime compliance, market conduct, compliance culture and practical advisory support to the business.

With nearly 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 19 years in compliance, Inn Sann has seen first-hand how the role of compliance has evolved—from interpreting rules and managing regulatory obligations, to helping the organisation make better decisions, protect customers and build long-term trust. Her experience spans regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, financial crime compliance, market conduct, compliance assurance, governance reporting and the development of practical compliance frameworks that support responsible growth. She has also attained professional certifications from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), further strengthening her grounding in banking, compliance and financial crime risk management
