1:30 PM How St Vincent’s Health Network Grew its Telehealth Service from 5 to 60 clinics in 12 Months

By 2025, its estimated there will be a clinical shortage of 10000 nurses and 3000 physicians in NSW, particularly rural areas. Combined with the aging population, health services will need to embrace telehealth models to meet the growing demand on the system.

St Vincent’s are leaders in the field of telehealth, this session will focus on how SVHA has scaled telehealth so rapidly, the key drivers behind the investment in telehealth and the impact the service has on patients in rural areas. 

  • Case study: How SVHA implemented a telehealth body movement clinic on the Mid North Coast to increase access of high quality therapy to rural and remote areas
  • Uncover the key enablers of this project and how they overcame key barriers and technology fatigue associated with telehealth
  • How SVHA is utilising telehealth to reduce inter-campus transfers potentially saving up to 380 transfers per year
