Ahmed Abdelaah

Ahmed Abdelaah is a Chartered Senior Foundation Engineer within JNBP’s Offshore Wind Foundations team, with over 25 years of experience in the structural design and integrity management of fixed offshore wind foundations. His work focuses on the development, verification, and lifecycle assessment of complex substructures, ensuring compliance with design standards, environmental load requirements, fabrication tolerances, and operational limits. His core technical capabilities include nonlinear finite element modelling of jackets, monopiles, and gravity based foundations; coupled hydrodynamic–aerodynamic analysis for extreme and fatigue loading; soil–structure interaction modelling; and ULS/FLS verification using both code based and simulation driven approaches. He also provides engineering governance, supporting fabrication and installation optimisation while reducing technical uncertainty across multidisciplinary interfaces. Prior to joining bp, Ahmed served as a Principal Engineer at Kent (formerly Atkins), delivering structural design and technical consultancy across a broad range of offshore wind and offshore energy assets.
