Dr. Denis Matha

Head of Floating Wind Ramboll

Dr.-Ing. Denis Matha is one of the pioneers in Floating Offshore Wind Turbines and has 15 years extensive experience in both technical and commercial aspects of floating wind technology. He has a comprehensive holistic technical expertise of the floating wind system and is involved in floating wind projects both in managing roles and as technical expert. Denis is Ramboll's Global Head of Floating Wind Engineering and leads Ramboll's international engineering teams for floating wind. He holds a Ph.D. on a floating wind related topic and is author and co-author of over 35 scientific publications in the field of offshore floating wind. His fields of expertise include holistic floating wind system knowledge, managing of teams, leadership, and coordinating and managing projects and proposals, complimented by an extensive professional network in the floating wind market. He is active in various broader industry roles such as conference steering committees, active roles in JIPs as well as Standardization, e.g. as Secretary of the IEC 61400-3-2 standard project team.
