Senior Specialist - Secondary Structures COWI A/S

Frederik is a Discipline Lead at COWI with deep expertise in secondary structures for offshore wind projects. He has played a key role in delivering complex projects from FEED through detailed design and execution, ensuring alignment across disciplines and stakeholders. With a strong focus on maintenance-free design and fabrication efficiency, Frederik brings both technical insight and practical experience to every phase of the project. He is also an active part of COWI’s internal network on secondary structures, contributing to knowledge sharing and technical development.

11:00 Novel design for Airtight Platform support, solving the fabrication and pile driving challenges

• It has been a longstanding challenge to solve airtight platform support design, which is

severely exposed during pile driving installation.

• Innovative Design: In collaboration with Developer, COWI has designed a solution with no

welding to MP, providing significant risk-reduction and steel savings.

• Full-scale testing with manufacturer to prove the functionality ahead of installation.

• Certification achieved in 2024 with installation and commissoning completed

in 2027.
