8:00 Integrated Load Analysis: Bridging Turbine and Foundation Design – Towards a common framework for consistent load modelling

• Current approaches: Pros and cons of integrated vs. sequential modelling
• Key challenges: Nonlinearity, damping, and soil-structure interaction, consistency
• Future vision: Towards a flexible, transparent framework for data exchange/DLL interfacing
Achieving consistency across turbine and foundation design remains one of the industry’s biggest challenges. This session examines current approaches to integrated load analysis - fully integrated versus sequential models - and discusses the balance between controlled pragmatism and increasingly sophisticated modelling. Key aspects such as damping, nonlinearity, and soil–structure interaction will be discussed. We will explore how these factors influence design outcomes and discuss the path toward a common, transparent framework that enables efficient data exchange and collaboration across disciplines incorporating recent challenges with larger turbines and new markets.
