Senior Blade Specialist WIND POWER LAB

Nihal Rao is a Wind Energy Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering and over six years of experience in the wind industry. His expertise spans composite mechanics, blade design for manufacturing, and failure root cause analysis. Currently with Wind Power LAB, he works on blade inspections, damage assessments, repair recommendations, and root cause analyses of major blade failures and claims. Previously at Vestas, he contributed to blade digitalisation and led multiple new blade model projects, supporting new product introduction, ramping up to serial production, and the development of design validation, engineering reviews, and manufacturing processes.
