Ole Gjerstad is a principal engineer at SubseaDesign AS, working with complex engineering projects in the energy sector. He has 25 years of experience in the oil & gas industry from projects all across the globe, more receently also with focus on the renewable sector. His knowledge covers mechanical design, FE analysis, international codes and requirements, product development, testing and qualification, product management and standardisation. SubseaDesign AS, founded in 2007 and based in Norway, is an engineering and fabrication company serving the oil, gas, and renewable sectors. With 47 experienced engineers, the company is recognized for rapid delivery, creative problem-solving, and expertise in subsea, topside, and energy product design -from early studies to full EPC execution.
