Søren Find Madsen, Ph.D., is an electrical engineer and lightning protection specialist with over 20 years of experience in wind energy. He has founded several specialized firms, including Upvious and Global Lightning Protection Services, focusing on the design and experimental verification of lightning protection systems (LPS). Madsen is a key contributor to international standards, serving as secretary for the IEC 61400-24 wind turbine lightning protection maintenance team. His technical expertise spans numerical modeling, high-voltage and high-current testing, and the study of electrical discharges in turbine blade materials.
