Philip Barutha

Assistant Professor, Construction Programs University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Phil Barutha is an Assistant Professor at University of Nebraska in Construction Engineering and Management.  Prior to academia, Phil has worked for over 12 years in project management delivering transportation, building, and energy projects.  Most recently he was a Project Manager for Mortenson Construction (US) in the Renewable Energy Group leading engineering procurement construction (EPC) and design build (DB) teams installing over 1.21 GW of wind energy in the US.  He continues to be active in the international engineering and construction sector consulting abroad in Central America and teaching in New Zealand.  Phil received his PhD and M.S. degree in Civil and Construction Engineering at Iowa State University and his B.S. degree from Montana State University.
