Ursula Smolka is developing foundation monitoring solutions as part of the Asset Management Services within Ramboll Wind. She worked on load monitoring systems for preventive maintenance for four years during her career as research assistant. By evaluating two years of environmental and structural dynamics data recorded at the German test site “alpha ventus” in the North Sea, she gained extensive experience in automated conditioning of field data. She has published on load monitoring using SCADA data only, design of measurement campaigns and validation of wake models.
