Dr. David Rieks, LL.M. works as a Partner in the area of Compliance and Commercial Criminal law in the Hamburg office of Eversheds Sutherland. He studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg im Breisgau, and received his doctorate in law from the Humboldt University in Berlin. In between, he completed his LL.M. in International Criminal Law at the Universiteit van Amsterdam and at Columbia University in the City of New York. From 2014 to 2019, he was a Senior Associate at ROXIN and from 2019 until now he has worked his way up from Counsel to Partner in Criminal Law at Eversheds Sutherland Germany. He was nominated Best Lawyer for Litigation 2021 by Handelsblatt and Top Lawyer for Commercial Criminal Law 2020 by Wirtschaftswoche.
