Dr. Kai Schumacher is Chief Compliance Officer of CECONOMY AG and MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group. Prior to that, he was Chief Compliance Officer of adidas, and also of BuyIn (Paris/Bonn), the purchasing joint venture of Deutsche Telekom and France's Orange. Before that, he held various management positions in Deutsche Telekom Group: among others, as a member of the management board of the personnel service provider Vivento and as Head of the Supervisory Board Office of T-Mobile International. After studying law at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and at Washington & Lee University (Virginia, USA), Kai Schumacher earned a doctorate in antitrust and environmental law at the University of Rostock (Germany). Furthermore, he is a business lawyer (University of Bayreuth). Kai Schumacher regularly publishes articles in German and French journals and teaches at the Université Paris 2 Panthéon Assas.
