General Counsel INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF RED CROSS AND RED CRESCENT SOCIETIES
Lucie Laplante is the General Counsel of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), an international organisation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Lucie is a highly experienced legal professional with a track record in strategic legal advice, legal risk management and compliance and governance. At IFRC, Lucie led corporate initiatives to develop innovative approaches and multi-stakeholders partnerships with public and private partners. Prior to joining IFRC, Lucie supported legal reforms in West Africa and Latin American and worked in private practice. Lucie, a Canadian national, is admitted to both the Quebec (Canada) and the New York State Bar (US). Lucie holds law degrees from the Université de Montréal (Canada) and the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris 2).
