Roland van Weelden is a senior compliance and legal executive with over 20 years of experience leading global compliance, governance, and legal functions in complex multinational environments. He currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer, Global Competition Law Counsel, and Company Secretary at Flora Food Group, where he built and leads the global compliance function following its carve-out from Unilever.

Roland has a strong track record in designing and implementing end-to-end compliance programs covering anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, sanctions, export controls, privacy, and whistleblowing frameworks across 80+ countries. He is a trusted advisor to Boards and Executive Committees, combining strategic leadership with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.

Prior to Flora Food Group, he held senior compliance and legal roles at Kuehne + Nagel and AkzoNobel, where he contributed to the development of global compliance frameworks and supported complex commercial operations. He holds an Executive Master of Compliance and a law degree, and is recognized for his expertise in competition law, corporate governance, and global regulatory compliance.
