Natalie Carter is an Associate General Counsel at Duke Energy where she has been the head of the eDiscovery group for over 6 years. Additionally, within Duke Energy she practices cybersecurity law and data privacy law, affording her the opportunity to advise on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) technologies and establish GAI governance. A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill, she began her career 20 years ago as an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County, NC. Then she transitioned to private practice where she worked for two large law firms in Charlotte, NC as eDiscovery Counsel. In addition to her legal career, she is a mental fitness coach and speaks on topics related to grief, mindset work, and resilience.
