A Letter From Future Justice's Event Director, Sakshi Saroha

Dear Colleagues,

The Future Justice & Corrections Summit has, for more than a decade, served as a national forum for the leaders shaping the future of corrections across Australia and New Zealand. It is where operational insight, policy reform and system innovation come together — bringing frontline practitioners, corrections executives, infrastructure planners, digital leaders, health professionals and community partners into one shared conversation.

In 2027, that conversation continues to evolve.

Across the sector, agencies are navigating significant change. Digital systems are being modernised. New custodial infrastructure is being designed and delivered. AI and data capability are advancing. Workforce safety and resilience are under renewed focus. At the same time, leaders are working to strengthen rehabilitation pathways, improve health and mental health outcomes, and build more effective community supervision models.

Future Justice & Corrections Summit 2027 provides a platform to examine these priorities together — openly, thoughtfully and with a focus on practical outcomes. Through two days of discussion, insight and collaboration, we will explore how corrections systems can remain secure in operation, smart in design and sustainable for the decade ahead.

Taking place in Melbourne (2 – 3 March 2027), the Summit will once again bring together senior voices from across the justice ecosystem to share experience, challenge thinking and strengthen the partnerships that support safer communities.

We look forward to welcoming you to the conversation.

Kind Regards,

Sakshi Saroha
