William Martin is a Senior Director of Real Estate and Facilities for Health Management Systems, Inc. He manages all occupancy related functions across HMS’ domestic portfolio of sites. In his role at HMS, William has led the organization from a traditional office/cubicle design towards a more flexible, open and collaborative space design. He has over 20 years’ experience in the industry working both as an employee and as a vendor providing Facility Services for large and small companies. He has achieved the Master of Corporate Real Estate/Workplace designation from Corenet and the Certified Facility Manger designation from IFMA. Throughout his years of experience and training, he has developed a passion to see space as something that adjusts to the needs of the business rather than the business adjusting to the space they are provided. He is here today to share how this concept has worked in alignment with culture change strategies to deliver excellent business results for HMS.
