What are some of your highlights from GQF 2023?

Yeah, some of the highlights that stood out to me were really just meeting all the awesome genuine people that are here that truly care about players and truly care about the gaming space. So, I had my best moments, well, there were some great talks. I really had my best moments by the coffee table, by the cant table, really just being able to meet people and just hear about their experiences and just really kind of develop nice new relationships with people that are outside of my particular space.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to further their career in the gaming industry?

Again, like all these games need player-driven professionals. They need people who are really focusing on the gritty stuff, right? So, it's not all just glamour and glitz. It's really like the hardworking, thankless jobs that kind of go about to make this industry run. So again, it's just great for networking, great lessons, and you can really learn a lot, absolutely.

Why is it important for QA, localisation, and player community professionals to come together in one unique forum?

Well, there's not a lot of blockchain-based gaming studios that have been out here too. So, being able to see and connect these early-stage games, I know blockchain-based is kind of a naughty word when it comes to these traditional game studios, but I think there's a lot of opportunity for localization because it's an industry that's really kind of moving forward and can use localization and these community, it's never more important in the type of games where players own the assets in which they're playing. So, I just think that it's just a really great event just to network and connect and be around these awesome professionals in a completely different world, a completely different bubble than the one that I'm in right now. So, that was really important to me. Being able to expand my network into the wider gaming industry was really important to me.
