Diane Gabl Kratz is an eight-time IAM Strategy 300 World's Leading IP Strategist and recipient of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Global Top 10 30-Somethings Award. A USPTO-registered patent attorney at Dolby, she leads an 18-person international team; her work spans global patent and trademark strategy, portfolio development, enforcement, and IP operations. Under her leadership, Dolby was named World Trademark Review's 2025 Technology & Consumer Electronics Team of the Year. Previously, Diane was Senior IP Counsel at a Fortune 500 Silicon Valley technology company. A four-time Super Lawyers Rising Star, she began her career in IP litigation at Morrison & Foerster LLP and Sidley Austin LLP. Diane is a nationally recognized speaker, PLI faculty member, and guest lecturer at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business. She has been interviewed or quoted by publications including Law360, American Lawyer/Law.com, IAM, Managing IP, and World Intellectual Property Review and serves on the boards of USIPA and CAIPA. Diane received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a Physics degree from Cornell University.
