A recent PwC survey reveals that only 34% of respondents are delivering plans that can stretch beyond the 3-year mark (strategic stage), with most sitting in the ‘operational’ stage of 1-3 years. Although transitioning towards longer-term planning capabilities is not a change which will happen overnight, organisations can begin to create roadmaps by leveraging data analytics to help forecast the need for business transformation and pinpoint capability gaps with a high level of accuracy whilst also undertaking initiatives to better understand their future talent needs to enable effective attraction and retention strategies.
