12:40 PM ABS: The road from Building Operational Metrics to Strategic Workforce Planning
In response to a 2018 capability gap, the ABS partnered with Workforce Planning Global to embed use of a workforce optimisation tool and help build HR staff and organisational capability in workforce planning. This project enabled production of accurate, timely HR data and key insights to better anticipate and respond to key workforce risks, and lays the foundations for strategic workforce planning through scenario planning. This has opened the door to more mature engagement with Senior Executives and gaining a seat at the decision making table.

- Advancing and embedding workforce planning in practice.
- Delivering clear analysis and commentary around operational and strategic workforce priorities that informs and supports prioritisation of people strategies and investment decisions for the ABS workforce.
