Since 2016 Singleton Council has worked diligently to build systems, develop risk capability and create a top-down approach to build a positive and responsive risk culture. As a result, the council has been recognised for their efforts, improvements and innovations to date. In this session, Deborah will discuss Singleton Council’s risk journey, sharing insights on:
- Understanding cultural perceptions and attitudes to risk
- Establishing the expectations and desired behaviours to ensure a consistent, proactive approach to managing risk response
- Creating and developing a clear framework that involves executives to enact and create effective cultural change
