Laurie is Deloitte’s UK Digital Regulation lead, advising digital platform companies on navigating the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape across online safety, competition, AI and consumer protection.

With more than 15 years of experience in governance, risk, compliance and assurance, Laurie specialises in turning complex, principles-based regulation into practical governance that organisations can operate, demonstrate and sustain. His work spans regulations including the UK Online Safety Act, EU Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, EU AI Act and EU GDPR.

Laurie is particularly interested in the future of digital platform compliance: helping organisations move beyond siloed regulatory responses towards more holistic, technology-enabled governance that can scale across regulations and jurisdictions.
