The #GPMSummit Journey So Far

The spark for the Game Publishing and Marketing Summit came while we were wrapping up the Live Service Gaming Summit. One of our speakers told us it was the first time he’d been to an event that felt genuinely tailored to the publishing side of the business. A few more conversations confirmed the same theme: most events in the industry focus on developers, while the people steering funding, go-to-market, and player growth watch from the sidelines or huddle in their own ad-hoc meet-ups.

That didn’t sit right with us. The teams who ship, finance, and promote games are a huge part of the industry engine, yet they rarely get a stage built for their challenges. So we decided to give them one.

With the concept in place, we still needed a name. Given that our audience spanned across the entire video game industry, from mobile to AAA, half the people we spoke with called their work “publishing,” the other half said “marketing” yet they were talking about the same job. Rather than choose, we landed on a title that combined both.

In September 2025 we’ll bring everyone together for two days devoted to breaking through marketplace noise, growing communities, keeping studios and partners aligned, moving games to new platforms, and helping studios that want to strike out on their own. If your day job involves getting games into players’ hands, this summit is for you.
