Brendan Tobin is an independent operating advisor to private equity funds and their portfolio companies; delivering outcomes on transformation, operations and procurement initiatives. Previously, Brendan was Global COO, Macquarie Insurance Facility (MIF), an internally held portfolio company of Macquarie Asset Management. The Macquarie Insurance Facility is an aggregated insurance buying program for Macquarie owned and managed assets as well as third party private equity and infrastructure investor portfolio companies. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2015, he worked as an Operating Partner in the Operational Excellence Practice of Apax Partners, a leading global private equity firm. While at Apax his focus was on driving value creation through operational improvements within the Apax funds’ global portfolio of companies. Brendan also worked as an independent consultant for Fortune 500 consumer products and business services clients. Before consulting, Brendan worked with a turnaround management team holding senior management positions at Cenveo, Inc. and Moore Wallace Inc.. Brendan began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) after receiving a BBA from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
