Liz Bullard is the Innovation Manager for Manufacturing; a role created in April 2023 to accelerate and promote manufacturing advancements within production facilities through local technical competency and strategic internal networks. The Manufacturing Innovation Team leads as a catalyst, connecting with local teams to identify ‘Best Practices’ that can be shared at a site, regional, and global scale, as well as creating a widespread awareness for new technologies as they become available for application within Manufacturing. This is a collaborative role, engaging with partners from Product Development, through Manufacturing Engineering, and into our more than 70 production facilities globally for a cohesive continuous improvement strategy. Prior to addressing Innovation at a larger scale, Liz was focused on new technology development within Stamping Operations. She has held multiple roles within Stamping at Ford Motor Company, always with the common thread of bringing concepts from a research application to the scale and robustness needed for full-volume production. Projects include Heat Treatment and Chemical Treatment of aluminum, Automated Hot Stamped Boron Steel, Stamping Digital Twins and Process Analytics, AI Vision, and Traceability. Liz is active in Women of Ford and 100 Women Who Care - Ford Motor Company. As a mentor she is able to support females on their journey with personal experiences and making connections to critical resources. It is a joy to build up the network of other employees. Liz joined Fordland, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, in 2011, and move to Ford Motor Company in 2013. She has a B.S. in Architecture, M.S. in Architecture, and a M. of Engineering Management.
Many manufacturers struggle to fully realize the potential of their connected worker initiatives. Existing solutions often fall short in seamlessly integrating shop floor operations with enterprise systems, scaling across diverse environments, and leveraging the power of data to drive real-time insights and worker empowerment. This session, presented jointly by Google Cloud and GFT, presents a blueprint for transforming your workforce through cloud-powered connectivity.
Google Cloud and GFT will share a proven approach to migrate production floor systems to the cloud, enabling real-time data access, improved worker collaboration, and enhanced decision-making.
Specifically, this session will address:
- Bridging the OT/IT Gap: Learn how to seamlessly integrate operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems to provide a holistic view of your manufacturing operations.
- Empowering Workers with Data-Driven Insights: Explore how AI can be leveraged to provide workers with real-time insights, enabling them to make better decisions and improve their performance.
- Enhancing Worker Safety and Training: Discover how Google Cloud’s AI agents can be used to improve worker safety and provide more engaging and effective training programs.
- Building an Agentic Workforce: See how AI is already augmenting manufacturing work today and how you can prepare your organization for an "Agentic Era," where AI enables new levels of productivity and innovation.
