Innovation & Technology Principal BPDr. Martin R. Gonzalez holds the role of Senior Manager for Refining Technology at bp. Marty has been with bp for nearly 30 years, holding individual and team leader roles in applied research, operations, process design, capital projects, and commercial optimization, and digital innovation. Having spent the last several years developing and deploying digital technology, Marty is responsible for several of the machine learning and AI products that today support decisions within bp’s operations. He also serves as a trustee with the AI Applied Consortium, for which he advises technology development for the energy, chemicals, and utilities working group.
