Dr. Monique Reeves serves as Austin Community College’s Executive Vice Chancellor for the Future — a first for community colleges. As the former ACC Provost, Dr. Reeves brings a powerful blend of expertise in AI strategy, agile project management, digital education ecosystems, and human-centered design. Her work includes scenario planning, thought leadership, institutional strategy, and collaboration with national leaders and other colleges ready to do the same. Dr. Reeves earned a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Science in Accounting/Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University in the 1990s. Understanding information forced her to explore her cognitive and emotional intelligence and master patterns, people, and purpose. With more than 20 years of experience in corporate America at companies including Bridgestone/Firestone and ACS (Xerox), Dr. Reeves knew she wanted to be a champion for change in higher education. She earned her doctoral degree in management from the University of Maryland University College, focused on community college policy and administration. Dr. Reeves was selected as an inaugural Aspen Presidential Fellow for Community College Excellence and holds numerous professional certifications that include Project Management Professional and Certified Design Futurist. She offers a background in supply chain, healthcare IT, and experience building and sustaining strong collaborations with employers and education partners to help close equity and workforce gaps in our community.
