11:10 AM Digitizing the Factory Floor: How Gallo Empowers Connected Workers

As part of its commitment to modernizing its manufacturing, Gallo is leveraging connected worker technology to improve efficiency and reliability across its facilities. With extensive manufacturing operations across the US, including over 20 wineries, production plants, and distribution centers, and a workforce of over 7,000 employees, the California-based company is a leader in the alcoholic beverage space.

In May 2025, Gallo launched a pilot project in one of its spirits production facilities that included digital work instructions and smart checklists workers can leverage at the point of work. The driver behind the project? To enhance operational efficiency, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high quality standards.

In this insightful session, Samik Mody will discuss:

  • Securing Leadership Support: How leadership support for the project was critical and emphasized the strategic benefits of connected worker technology.
  • Access to Standardized Procedures: How the company's frontline workers are accessing standardized, step-by-step procedures on mobile devices, ensuring consistency and reducing errors.
  • Real-time, Role-specific Checklists: Real-time, role-specific checklists are guiding workers through tasks like maintenance, safety, and quality checks. Learn about the impact on both workers and on productivity.
  • Implementation Challenges: What have been early lessons learned during the first 6 months
  • Future Plans: What to think about in terms of expansion and scaling across use cases and different facilities.

This session will provide valuable insights into the journey of implementing connected worker technology, the challenges faced, and the tangible benefits realized so far
